BEST THEATER IN LA

LA is the hub for filmmaking… well, not so sure about that anymore in 2026, but LA is definitely still the best place to watch movies. There are so many theaters across the city, not just AMC, screening everything from Hollywood classics to arthouse foreign films.

There are great spots like Alamo Drafthouse, Tarantino's Vista Theater, and the New Beverly Cinema, but for the best combination of budget, selection, and screen quality, the Academy Museum Theater is hard to beat.

Just caught Mickey 17 there and got to stay for a Q&A with Bong Joon-ho right after! It's first come first serve, and tickets are cheaper than AMC. If you're a student it's only $5. You can even head to the museum beforehand and make a whole day out of it!
