HAND GOT INTO CIFF 2026

poster

Great news, a short film I DP'd last summer just got selected and screened at the Cleveland International Film Festival. The festival reached its 50th anniversary this year and has a wonderful film community.

Hand is a story of a Chinese undocumented immigrant father living in the US, away from his family. We show his life of living away from family in a different country and his hidden struggle.

We shot this film over the span of 5 days, including three days of overnight shoots in a Chinese restaurant, all in real locations. Though overnight shoots always take more effort and energy, I am grateful for the crew I worked with. The film is still in its festival run, and hopefully I can announce the public release soon for you to watch. Otherwise, I'll see you at the upcoming festival!
